Allen was born on April 12, 1932, at Tampa General Hospital to the late Claude and Alberta Lamberson. He was a devoted husband, uncle, friend and neighbor. Allen had a generous spirit, kind heart and witty sense of humor.
Allen retired from General Motors Corporation after 35 years of service. He was proud of his accomplishment of achieving the status of a top executive in the AC Delco division. He told countless stories of entertaining in various places around the world.
During retirement, Allen developed a passion for videography. He loved to capture special events and adventures for his friends and family and turn them into a video keepsake. Allen learned the art of carpentry from his grandfather and used this talent to assist friends with renovations. Allen frequently was found by the pool with a good book, his favorite cigar and a splash of Crown Royal poured by his private bartender.
Allen is survived by his loving wife, Linda Lamberson and countless other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Claude Lamberson, his mother, Alberta Lamberson, and his sister, Joy Lamberson.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Sunday, June 29th, from 11:00 am-12:00 pm at Blount & Curry Life Event Center, 605 S. MacDill Ave, Tampa, FL 33609. A Funeral service will follow at 12:00 pm. Allen will be laid to rest at 1:30 pm at Myrtle Hill Memorial Park, 4202 E Lake Ave, Tampa, FL 33610.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Samaritan’s Purse or Metropolitan Ministries.
Allen’s kindness, strength and unwavering love for his family and friends will never be forgotten.
