Madruga, Cristina G., 81, of Tampa passed away on Sept. 19, 2010. She was born in Havana, Cuba on Jan. 15, 1929 to Luis Reyes and Luisa Sanchez. As a young girl she dedicated herself to singing, she began under professor Mariano Melendez. Cristina sang in the theaters in Cuba from five years old until she was married, she then dedicated herself to her husband and her children. Cristina was predeceased by her loving husband Pedro P. Madruga and her daughter Marlen Mercedes Madruga. She is survived by her children, Beatriz G. Cruz and Peter P. Madruga; grandchildren Sarai Gil and Ralph Cruz; and her sister Elvira Reyes Sanchez. Cristina will be greatly missed by all. Visitation will take place on Thursday Sept. 23 from 5 pm to 9 pm and service will be on Fri. Sept 24 at 11 am all at Gonzalez Funeral Home 7209 N.
