To Daniel's family---Rick and I were so very shocked and saddened by the death of Danielle. I remember him mostly as the cutest and most active little fella. Time spent with Mom and the kids and seeing the little Cavallaros at Bayshore Christian was the cutest.  None of it makes sense, and as much as we are praying for your family to be comforted in this time of separation from your dear Danielle, the pain is real. We look forward to the reunion in Heaven. What a joy to hear the sweet words about what a wonderful young man he was while he was here on earth. When we all get to Heaven, what a joyful reunion that will be. Until then, we're praying for strength and grace to get through each day.

I have been friends with Darlene Holm Fincher since 1965 and was just informed of this tragedy.  I met Maria and Christina in the '90's here in Colorado where both nieces lived for a short time.  I have loved Gladys and Darlene and their families for over 50 years and was blessed to see them last summer.  I never met Daniel but know, how much this family loves each other, and how much they help other people - that Daniel was a very special soul.  I send my prayers to Mrs. Holm, whom I have loved since I was 15, and to Gladys and Maria - I pray you find your strength - and to my dear BFWWW - Darlene - I am always here for you no matter what! I was blessed to see first hand the beautiful relationship that was so quickly formed between my boyfriend Ryan Baumgardt and Daniel. Countless times (usually in the very early hours) our house Echoed with the sounds of them laughing, debating about everything and their endless wrestling matches. Ryan absolutely loved Daniel, and would always brag about every one of Daniels accomplishments. We are both incredibly saddened by this loss and we will always remember Daniel for the outgoing, happy friend that he was, and the angel that he is now.

Daniel was in my K 4 class at Bayshore Christian School. I remember the mischief in his eyes and his disarming smile! He was really a charmer! Then there was "The Eyeball in the Attic!" I so enjoyed writing and illustrating that story for him when his grandmother won the silent auction bid! Daniel will always be one of my most memorable students! I'm so sorry for your loss - but I can already imagine the reunion with him one day!

Our hearts are broken over the loss of Daniel.  He was a kind soul who always had a smile on his face. Last April I was house sitting for Kim and Luigi and Easter happened to fall during that time frame. I was worried about taking my 4 small children out to the store to buy baskets because my oldest daughters, 7 and 6, would have realized what I was buying and questioned why I needed them. Daniel stopped by the house and asked me if I needed anything. I think he was a little surprised when I asked him if he could go and buy me 4 baskets so my kids wouldn't see them. He happily went to Target and sent me pictures and called me to make sure he had picked out the right ones.  I thanked him upon his return but I don't think he understood how grateful I was for that small favor.  I will forever be grateful for his kind and generous soul. <3
