David V. Gonzalez Jr.

GONZALEZ, David Vincent, 83, of Tampa, entered into eternal rest on July 26, 2012. He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 yrs. Justine and devoted companion Irene Somoano. He is survived by his brother Robert Gonzalez (Crusie); children Carol (Carmelo) Guggino, Linda (Augie) Quintero, David M. Gonzalez, and Steven (Janize) Gonzalez; grandchildren Carl (Lynn) Guggino, Christina (Steven) Vess, Justina Guggino, Paul (Jason) Quintero, Danielle (Rene) Ciccarello, Summer, Gianna, Monroe, Stevie, and Lorenzo Gonzalez ; great-grandchildren Ysabella, Reyna, Deuce, Gracie, Santino, Gavin, and Rayne and nephew Bobby (Bobby Ann) Gonzalez. “Mr. G” as known to many friends and family graduated from H.B. Plant High School and attended the University of Florida. This is where his love affair began with his beloved Gators. He was the original founder of The Family Sandwich Shoppe and Catering By the Family. His family was his most prized possession. Visitation will be held Mon. July 30, 2012 at 9am with Mass at 10:30 all at Christ the King Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Pediatric Cancer Foundation.
