David and I worked together at Synovus. Every day I would come into work and see the happy angel that sat in the office two doors down. No matter what was happening, David was always cheerful and felt blessed. He was the hardest working person I know and he always took the time to make sure his team was doing well- both personally and professionally. I’m blessed to have worked with you David. My brother David (fondly referred to as Shines by his peers  and King David by family members)was an avid Cricketer who was passionate about music . 
Our disciplinarian Dad instilled in us the  principles of healthy ethical values which became the guiding model of  our lives. He always encouraged us  to work hard, not to begrudge anyone for anything, always give 100 percent at any  task assigned to us. Consequently, king David did everything in a grand way. He exhibited great efforts at sports and had a desire for excellence in all work related endeavors.

To everyone mourning the loss of David ; his wife Gail, children, grandchildren, siblings, family members, co-workers and friends remember "GRIEF” does not go away, it only changes. It is not a weakness or lack of faith, it is the price we pay for “LOVE". Continue to reflect on those moments of joy. It only takes one word to start a prayer and one touch to show others you care. During the time you were here with us bro, you certainly let your light shine and give others permission to do the same. I know you’re playing music with the angels King David. Rest easy brother,  we miss you.

As we mourn the death of our dear brother David,  l reflect on our early childhood.                              

David like the rest of our siblings was born and grew up on the beautiful island of Bequia, in St. Vincent. He was only five when we lost our dear mother, but we were fortunate to have our wonderful great aunt Amelia Duncan, a great believer in God. She along with other aunts and uncles nurtured us in  embracing the love of God, self respect and respect for others, to think big and work hard at achieving success,  never take it for granted,  or focusing on the possessions of others. 

David was a curious kid with an adventurous mind. He always wanted to sing and we have good memories of those early exercises. He adopted the early principles implanted in us. After high school he migrated to the U.S. while pursuing a career as a successful commercial banker. He continued his pursuit of music and recorded some CDs (flavored with that Caribbean upbeat tempo) successfully. 

Thank you brother for the memories you have given us. The void you left will never be filled. The love, joy and happy memories you've left us will forever be treasured.  Gone to soon Dave, rest in paradise.

Please allow me share the little I knew about your wonderful husband David. I knew Dave as a very easy going and humble gentleman who got along with just about everyone. I had the opportunity to spend many evenings with Dave back when I lived next door to you in Florida. I respected his intellect, professionalism and work ethic. Dave believed in hard work. He worked hard to build his family empire. But he also loved music. He wrote songs and created his own music. I have had the opportunity to listen in on some of his beautiful songs. He had such a creative mind. I never could understand how he juggled his professional life as a banker and his love for music and family. Much respect Dave. Respect. But above all I saw Dave as a family man. A man who devoted all his life to his family. He loved his wife Sister Gail, his children and many grand children. Dave, may your soul rest in eternal peace in heaven. We’ll miss you but I know you are smiling and singing and rejoicing in the Lord’s Kingdom with the angels. Cheers until we meet again bro.

His dedication to be the very best Business Banker showed in his relentless work effort.  He would come in early and stay late often times eating at his desk while letting clients know he was available 24hrs.  I knew him for over 10 years and had the privilege of being able to mentor him during his professional career.  Dave will never be forgotten his work ethic and kind spirit will live on through all those that he touched along the way.  All those that new him walked away a better person. Hi Gail and family we appreciate the opportunity to hail the life and accomplishments of  a man that sort after and reached his aspirational goals. The chronicles of his life runs parallel to so many of us. Coming from  humble beginnings, but with the guidance of The Most High and great determination he was able to excel. We met the Harris family while inspecting the development of our community.  We were all excited to learn that we had common visions to uplift our families. We recognized his high intelligence and ambitious nature during our first contact. His warmth and dedication to family was quite apparent. We are certain that if he had remain here unlimited possibilities was in his reach. The Prime Creator called him home. He will most assured be missed, not only by the love of his life, but all of those that he touched with his positive energy. He was a no nonsense person and refused to connect himself with negative forces. Mr David Harris may you RIP and May God bless your soul.  The Harp family.

Dave was a man who prided himself with planting his feet deep in the sand. Working hard at everything he did he didn't stop until he became that V.P.  man. Although he's no longer with us in our everyday sight, he'll always be with us in our hearts everyday, and every night. With every sunshine you'll always be on our minds and in our hearts for life. We'll miss you Dave, Rest In Paradise.  

Dave will forever be missed by his family, especially his grandkids. Some were fortunate enough to have many memories with him but others not so much as he was gone too soon. We will always remember and speak of him so that all family will continue to carry his spirit in our hearts! We will always be there for each other and take care of his queen, Gail as he always has. I met Gail and her Husband as well with approximately 13 other relatives. It was such a pleasure. I grew up with Gail's Mom Jean Gibbs, and apart from knowing Karene which is the daughter of Lirlin (Jean's Sister). I did not know anyone eccept that we were all related. Dave was a friend, a colleague and a mentor to me for the past nine years.  I am heart broken as he left us way too soon.  I pray for his family, friends and work team members who already miss him tremendously.   Sharing a picture of our original banking team where we both met.
