

Lane, David Alan, 48, of Tampa passed away suddenly December 7, 2014. David was born in Hammond Indiana on September 29, 1966. Survivors include his loving wife of 25 years, Robin; his son, Jacob; his parents, Carroll and Carol Lane of Bloomington, Illinois; his sister, Kathi Joyce of Hennipen, Illinois; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family members. David graduated with the 1984 class of Bloomington High School and then went on to earn his Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Illinois, College of Engineering. While at the U of I he was a member of the track team throwing the discus in university competition. Upon graduation he moved to Springfield, IL where he worked for Levi, Ray and Shoup as Computer Consultant Manager. When he and Robin moved to Tampa Bay in 1998, he founded Niborex, Inc. a computer consulting firm. During his career he developed several software packages, including the Electronic E6-B for the aviation industry. His hobbies included photography, travel, cooking special meals for the family, scuba diving, and flying his own plane. He was an avid Chicago Blackhawks and Tampa Bay Lightening fan. His greatest joy in life was watching his 7 year old son play hockey for the Scorpions travel team. A Memorial Service will be held at 5:30pm on Friday, December 12 at the Blount & Curry, West Chapel, 6802 Silvermill Dr, Tampa. Family will begin receiving friends at 4pm.
