Delfina “Della” Rose Lilly was born in New York, New York on April 19, 1925. She entered Heaven’s gates on November 8, 2017.
Della had an unwavering faith in God. She was a member of Harvester United Methodist Church for over twenty years. She had become very involved with the church and assisted with numerous fundraising events. She was also a member of the church choir.
Della loved to knit and crochet. She always made outfits for newborns and hats and sweaters for all her grands and great grands. She made pocket crosses for the church. She was an avid baseball fan and loved the Tampa Bay Rays and her New York Yankees. And, you could always find her watching football after church. She loved her Tampa Bay Bucs.
She is survived by her brother, Arthur Sirico; sisters, Mickey Manfredo, and Margie Valvo; five children: Diane Susan Cole, Kathryn L. Tippins, Georgana Lilly, Lloyd Robert Lilly, Jr., and Patrick John Lilly; five grandchildren: Bradly John Cole (predeceased his Nana), Amber Assunta Cole, Ashley Nicole Hoffenberg, Meghan Nicole Souto, and Jessica Rose Lilly; 9 great grandchildren: Alyssa Cole, Aisha Cole, Avery Cole, Ashlinn Cole, Gage Hoffenberg, Lowry Hoffenberg, Jazmine Souto, Jakob Souto and Joshua Souto; and 3 great, great, grandchildren: Damari Bellamy, Alijah Cole and Alaya Cole.
A memorial service celebrating her life will be held on Saturday, November 18, 2017, 3:00 pm at Harvester United Methodist Church, 2432 Collier Pkwy, Land O Lakes, FL 34639, followed by a pot luck dinner in the church hall.
