Ms. Earley was born in Newark, New Jersey, and was a long-time resident of the city until she moved to Florida in 2005. She attended Girls Vocational High School and then worked in the City Clerk’s staff office. Eventually Diane became secretary to Councilman the Honorable Anthony Carrino and worked for him until he left office.
Diane had many friends and interests, among them were her love for Bingo, being a dance grandma/nanny and supporting her grandchildren’s sporting events. She loved her dance families so much and will forever be their Nanny. However, her passion was her family. She was a strong woman who survived four breast cancers, but she didn’t let it slow her down. As a single parent, she successfully raised two children. Diane got great joy from her family, especially her grandchildren.
After moving to Florida, Diane resided with her daughter and her family until her health declined in 2022, then she was cared for by the nurses and staff at Carrollwood Care Center.
Diane is survived by her loving daughter, Stacy Lee Earley Theobald, daughter-in-law, Janice Maffucci Earley, sister-in-law, Donna White, her devoted grandchildren, Peter, Jr., Jennifer Rose and Shane Anthony Theobald, Richard Connor and Gianna Hope Earley and great grandchild, Kya Rae Earley. She also leaves behind her cousin Judy Anderson (Lloyd) and she was a special aunt to Natalie LaBella and Stephanie LaBella Abramson. Diane was very loved by Franke and Dana Gonzalez as well. She was a very special nanny to CJ Benson, Christian Caballero and Nana Diane 2nd to Ciera, Miranda and Maresa Gonzalez.
Diane was predeceased by her loving parents, Eugene and Rose Flynn (nee Vanella), a brother, Eugene Flynn, Jr., her loving son, Richard Albert Earley, Jr., her son-in-law, Peter Theobald, Sr., and her cousins Beverly LaBella, Shirley Cavanna and Doreen Fioretto.
The family would like to thank all the nurses and staff at Carrollwood Care Center for taking such great care of her!
