Dolores L Packwood

Lauretta Dolores Packwood (nee Little) died peacefully in Tampa, Florida on November 16, 2022 at the age of 92. Dolores was born on August 25, 1930 in Ebensburg, Pennsylvania to Elmer W & Lauretta C Little.

Dolores is survived by her children, Val Packwood (Margaret), Sharon Mulry (Mike), and Pam Packwood (Ward), all of Tampa, FL; her grandchildren, Kristin Reynolds (Ryan), Ryan Packwood (Valerie), Lanay LaFerla (Justin), Michael Mulry (Lindsey) and Amy Wesolek (Dani); and 8 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents Elmer William Little and Lauretta Catherine Smithbauer Little; her four brothers—Leonard, Jerry, Jack and James Little; and her grandson, Scotland Bealer.

She married Gene Packwood in 1950 and over the next several years, they welcomed 3 children. Her children will always remember her as a loving, kind, and patient mother who encouraged them to pursue their goals.

She was an active and dedicated member of the St. Paul’s Catholic Church. The family would like to thank the caregivers from Hospice (Pink Team) for their care and dedication to our mother.

Friends and family are invited to attend a celebration of life with a reception to follow on Saturday December 10, 2022 at 1:00PM in the Blount & Curry Funeral Home 605 S. MacDill Ave. Tampa, Florida. Interment will be at Myrtle Hill Memorial Park.
