GADBURY, Don Fuhrman, 87, and his beloved wife, Elizabeth James, 81, of Tampa, both passed away peacefully at their home, surrounded by family. DON, the only surviving son of Ernest and Rhoda Gadbury, passed on 8/28/15, following complications from an accident. Don was born and raised in Indiana, served in the Army, graduated from Indiana University, and moved to Tampa where he met and married the love of his life, Elizabeth, his wife of 56 years. He was a well known and well respected banker, most notably with Sun Bank. He was a friend to many. He enjoyed tennis, Hoosier basketball, was a charter Buccaneer season ticket holder and tireless fan along with Elizabeth, and a charter/long time member of The Tampa Club. He adored his wife, was a loving father and a proud grandfather. He will be sorely missed by his family and friends. ELIZABETH "LIZ", daughter of Raworth and Emma James, passed peacefully, at home, on 8/9/15, following a brief, valiant battle with cancer. She was raised in Larchmont, NY, graduated from Principia College in Illinois, and followed her family to Tampa where she met Don. After raising her girls, she remained active and was working full time at the time of her diagnosis in 2014. Elizabeth was an elegant, gentle, intelligent, and genuinely kind woman who enjoyed life - including reading, travel, friends, and family. Full of life and love, she never gave up. They are survived by their daughters, Penny (Russ) Fedor, Suzanne (Rod) Anderson, grandchildren Brett and Rachel Gardner and Jackson Anderson. Don is survived by sisters Joy Golliver and Jill Goodson. Elizabeth is survived by her sister, Marion James. In lieu of flowers, please help us thank LifePath Hospice for their wonderful care of our beloved parents.
