

BRYANT, Donald L. Jr., 52, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on December 23, 2014. Donald was a lifelong resident of Tampa. He attended Christ the King Catholic School, Tampa Catholic High School and graduated from the University of South Florida. Donald was a successful business man, founding and operating his own business, Florida Lawn & Ornamental. He was actively involved in his community volunteering with Meals on Wheels and Metropolitan Ministries. He was a past president of the Merrymakers Club of Tampa and a former member of Ye Mystic Krewe of Gasparilla. Although Donald loved serving his community, his true passion was cooking and he loved creating new, and always wonderful meals for his family and friends. Donald will live on in the hearts of those that survive him, best friend and wife of 26 years, Kathryn Gonsalves Bryant, his loving parents, Donald L. Bryant, Sr. and Carmen Filippello Bryant, devoted brother, Louis and fiancé, Ashley Tessem, cherished nephew, Louie, and caring and supportive mother-in-law, Barbara, sister-in-law, Mona and brother-in-law, Johnny. Donald brought a smile to everyone’s face and will be forever missed. A memorial service will be held at the chapel of Christ the King Catholic Church, 821 S. Dale Mabry Hwy, Tampa, 33609, on Saturday, January 3, 2015 at 11 am, followed by a celebration of Donald’s life at the Merrymakers Club, 124 Danube, Tampa, 33606. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Lifepath Hospice of Tampa, Meals on Wheels of Tampa, Metropolitan Ministries or to a charity of your choice.
