OSGOOD, DONALD WILSON, 75, of Tampa, passed away on Thursday, July 17, 2014. Donald was preceded in death by his parents Dorothy Osgood Jasco and Wilson Osgood, and his stepfather, Frank A. Jasco. He is survived by his loving and devoted sister and brother in law, Judith Jasco Rodriguez and Jack N. Rodriguez, nephew Jack A. Rodriguez and his wife Donna, grand nephews, Jack R. Rodriguez and Nicholas J. Rodriguez, all of Tampa and his stepmother Jessie Osgood, Buffalo, New York and extended loving relatives and friends.
Donald was born in Olean, New York. Donald graduated from Brewster Vocational School, Tampa, Florida. Donald worked at Alderman Cabinet Manufacturing for many years and then went to work on the Maintenance Team at Westshore Mall until the mid-80’s. Donald enjoyed wood working, leather crafts, and fishing. He was also an avid walker and bus traveler. He walked and rode all over Tampa enjoying the sights, meeting people and gathering friends. Donald never met a stranger and all were greeted with a big grin. Donald loved and was loved by his family and always was first at the table at family dinners.
The family wants to thank all the staff at South Tampa Health and Rehabilitation Center, his home for the past three years for their attentive and loving care. The family appreciates the Hospice Gold Team for their compassionate attention and care. The family also wishes to thank Drs. Hanan, Bireddy, and Panchigar and the entire staff at Memorial Hospital for their wonderful care over the years and Peter and Jackie Manescala and the staff at Albany ALF where Donald resided for twenty five years for their kindness and guardianship.
Graveside Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, August 2, 2014 at Myrtle Hill Cemetery, Tampa, Florida at 10:30 am.
