Donna Sue Imel

Donna Sue Imel, 58 of Tampa, FL, passed away on Friday, January 8, 2021. She was born July 16, 1962, in Tripoli, Libya, and was a resident of Tampa since 1976. She graduated from Robinson High School in 1980 with honors. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Port Tampa.

Donna was preceded in death by her father, Thomas Guy “TG” Imel, Jr. and many pets she cared for over the years. Surely they all greeted her when she arrived. She is survived by many who loved her including her partner of 23+ years, Clay Holtsinger and their most recent rescue cat - Luther; her mother, LaQuetta “Joy” Imel; her sister and brother-in-law, Regina and Sherrill Jeter; nephew, Ayden McLean; and her fur nieces Nipsy, Sadie, Jax and Shanti; along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, and long-time friends.

Donna loved her church, the beach, Law and Order, Survivor, country music and was an outstanding cook.

The family will host a gathering in her memory on Saturday, July 17, at Blount and Curry Funeral Home. The gathering will be at 1:00 with the memorial/celebration of life at 2:00. Blount and Curry is located at 605 S MacDill Avenue, Tampa, Florida 813-876-2421.
