Edelmira Mont

Edelmira was born in Cuba to Domingo Leon & Dolores Armas on May 7, 1936. She married Juan H Mont on June 27,1957 in Habana, Cuba. She worked as a custodian for Hillsborough County Public Schools for 10 years.

Edelmira is preceded in death by her husband Juan, Mother-in-law Eustaquia Mont and both her parents, Domingo Leon and Dolores Armas.

Edelmira is survived by her children, Reina Turner, Humberto Mont, and Lissette Godwin, her sister's Marialuisa, Ester and Natividad Leon, her 9 Grandchildren: Stephanie, Ashely, Ethan, Patricia, Belinda, Daniel, Kayla, Brianna, & Sean. 5 Great-Grandchildren: Ashton, Elena, Tristian, Savanah & Sophina, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear loved ones who loved her deeply.

Pallbearers will be Sean Godwin, Wilfredo Leon, Odimar Leon, Armado Hernandez, Deivys Llanos and William Godwin.

Visitation will be at 10:00 AM on Friday January 16, 2026, at Gonzalez Funeral Home 7209 N Dale Mabry Hwy, Tampa, FL 33614.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Friday January 16, 2026, at Gonzalez Funeral Home 7209

N Dale Mabry Hwy, Tampa, FL 33614 with the Pastor Romero of Iglesia Bautista Sobre la Roca, officiating. Burial will follow at Garden of Memories. Arrangements are by Gonzalez Funeral Home.

Memorials may be given to Gonzalez Funeral Home.
