

Edith was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Joseph B. Roberts. They were married for 35 years. She is survived by her children, Stephen Spencer and his wife, Shirley; Brenda Geoghagan; and Dreama Paradis and her husband, Andre.
She leaves behind her grandchildren, Stacy Ellis and her husband, Scott; Jaxon Spencer; Riley Spencer; and Ryan Geoghagan and his wife, Daniella. She was also a loving great-grandmother to Cooper Caggiano and Rhett Geoghagan. She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Alyssa Aracich.
Born in Parrish, Florida in 1932, Edith lived a long and meaningful life rooted in hard work, perseverance, family and love. She was a woman who faced life’s challenges with quiet determination and courage, qualities that remained with her throughout her years.
Edith started her education at Duette School, a two-teacher elementary school teaching first through eighth grades. Its now an historical landmark in Parrish, Manatee County,
She dedicated many years of her life as an accountant with the Tampa Port Authority. She was also an active member of the Propellar Club which is a premier business network and advocate for the maritime community in the Tampa Bay area.
Above all, Edith “Nana” was a mother whose presence was deeply treasured by her family. She gave those she loved the gift of her strength, wisdom, and unwavering love. Her family will remember not only the life she lived, but also the many lessons she taught through the way she lived.
Her family was her greatest treasure and the love she shared with them will continue to live on in the generations that follow.
