Elizabeth is survived by brother, Michael Blanco (Cathy); brother, Arthur Blanco; sister in-law, Carol Blanco; and nieces Laura, Audrey, and Carolyn Blanco. She is preceded in death by her parents, Manuel J. Blanco Sr. and Frances (Pitisci) Blanco and brother, Manuel J. Blanco Jr.
Elizabeth was born on May 18, 1953 in Tampa, FL. She graduated from Tampa Catholic High School in 1971.
Elizabeth had a deep passion for preserving and learning about the culture and history of old Tampa. She was very proud of her Asturian Spain and Sicilian roots and loved learning all she could about it. She loved promoting the preservation of the neighborhoods of Hampton Terrace and old Seminole Heights, and visiting with her friends in the neighborhood. She enjoyed attending gatherings at the Centro Asturiano de Tampa such as their annual spring fashion show and tea social. She was a devout Catholic and loved cooking, gardening and spending time with her dog Monte.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 14, 2021 at 6:00 pm at Blount & Curry Funeral Home, 605 S Macdill Ave, Tampa, FL. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, May 15, 2021 at 10:00 am at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, 5225 N Himes Ave, Tampa, FL with burial to follow at Centro Asturiano Memorial Park.
