Randy and I were lucky to spend several days with Aunt Rose and Uncle Elmer while visiting Florida March of 2015. The time we spent playing games, learning about Roth IRAs, driving around town to their favorite restaurants, and winning a small jackpot at the casino will never be forgotten. I could see the love Elmer had for his family, which he expressed it in his own unique way. I’m sorry his last year was a tough one, but I am thankful I got to see him briefly while they were in town.
Lots of love being sent your way, and I look forward to celebrate his life with all of the family this Fall.

It is so hard to realize the time to say goodbye had to come for our beloved family member, Elmer. We hated to see Elmer struggle with his health battles during this past year but he did so quite valiantly. My brother-in-law Elmer was a good man. A quiet man. Elmer was a good and faithful husband to my sister Rosemary. He was a man dedicated to his family and his job. He was a careful planner who provided his family with loving care, various measures of security and constant wisdom. He instructed his daughters how to take care in decision making and so many things about life as they matured. They are wonderful examples of daughters who lovingly accepted and made good applications of the wisdom he imparted. He will be sadly missed by them and all of us but will be remember with so much fondness.

That's a great photo of Uncle Elmer! 100% natural and 100% real, like his personality! I will always remember that Uncle Elmer was no-nonsense and a man of a few good words. He wouldn't say much all at once, but what he said was wise, witty, and worth listening to. I know over the years that he must have dispensed a lot of wisdom, good advice, and excellent tips to Aunt Rose and the girls and their families. And I know all of you looked up to him and loved him dearly. You'll miss him so much. We all will. I am so glad I had a chance to sit and talk with him last year in St. Louis when he was at St. Anthony's. Even though it was a tough time, he was in good spirits, and I'll always remember that visit.
Sending love and hugs to you all.
I really look forward to seeing everybody in October when we gather in St. Louis to honor and celebrate Uncle Elmer.
God bless your family.
With love and prayers,

Uncle Elmer, you will be missed so much. Your love for your family was so evident and it was always clear how much joy your wife, daughters and grandkids brought you. We know how proud you were of all of them. :) You were a wonderful Dad and person and you taught them the importance of family and helped them to build an amazing bond that will keep them close always, thanks to you and Aunt Rose.
Thanks for your subtle (and hilarious) humor, valuable advice and your commitment to family— you probably don’t know how much we learned from you. You will be forever missed but memories will keep you present always.
Sending our love,
Wendy, Jorge, Sofía and Mateo
