You had a good heart and were a good person. Christmas in the tree lot at St. Mary's was always fun. I know you will be missed by all of your Mercer Fraternity Brothers.

I do not think I have enough space to share all the great things there are about Ernest. I am a retiree from the Property Appraiser's office after 35 yrs of service and I had the pleasure of knowing and working with Ernest. He was fun, caring, and humorous. I so enjoyed joking around with him. He had an inviting personality and was always ready to help.
It was a joy seeing him raise and dote on his son and family. That was the kind of man he was.
I was so saddened when I received the news of his passing. My heart, prayers, and sympathy go out to his family. He will be missed for sure.
Rest in Peace my friend.

We will always treasure our childhood memories of playing together in the Smoky Mountains of Pinhook Valley. We enjoyed many times together in Tampa at Jack’s Cookies events. The McSwain and Bernard families cherished our relationship with Ernest and his dear mother Nancy.
May God bless you Bethany, Sonny, Elise, Jackson and Miss Nancy with peace knowing that you will reunite with Ernest in Heaven in the arms of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
