

Eugenia (Jeannie) Potts Thibodeaux, 59, of Tampa passed away March 5, 2012. Born in Delaware County, PA on July 15, 1952. She attended Penn Delco School District and graduated from Sun Valley High in 1970. She played Field hockey and Lacrosse and was active in several student body groups. One was a flag bearer for the Brookhaven Commanders, Drum and Bugle Corps, where they earned national honors. She was always very popular due to her outgoing personality and inward and outward beauty. She was an avid swimmer. She could spend an entire day in the pool. She was a member if the American Legion Auxiliary and the Women of the Moose in Tampa, FL. She is survived by her loving husband of 28 years, H.J. (Frenchy) Thibodaux, originally from Port Arthur, Texas, and an older brother, Leonard (Skip) Potts, also of PA; and a loving stepson, Stephen Thibodaux of Boise, Idaho, and five nieces and nephews from PA. There will be no viewing as she is being cremated. A memorial will be held at the American Legion Post 138, in South Tampa at a later date, to be announced. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Sun City Center Hospice House at 3723 Upper Creek Drive, Ruskin FL 33513.
