Fay Marie Herman

She was born on May 16, 1927, in Merrill, Wisconsin, to the late Edward and Alvina Behrens. She married Robert Herman in Iowa on June 18, 1949. Bob passed away on October 19, 1982.

As a young woman Fay worked as a telephone operator in Milwaukee. She later worked in the family business, Herman’s Plumbing and Heating, side by side with her husband Bob until 1982 and then with her son Scot until 2001. Fay was a long-time member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Wisconsin Rapids.

Survivors include two daughters and one son, Lynn (Roger) Bong of Waukesha, Wisconsin, Sandy (John) Kupkovits of Tampa, Florida, and Scot (Deb) Herman of Gold Canyon, Arizona; four grandchildren, Rob Kupkovits of Atlanta, Georgia, Sarah Kupkovits of Orlando, Florida, Christopher (Katie) Bong of Eagle, Wisconsin, and Elyse Field of Phoenix, Arizona, two great grandchildren Gavin and Jocelyn Bong and her brother Richard Behrens of Wausau, Wisconsin.

In addition to her parents and husband, Fay was preceded in death by her sisters Violet Behrens and Lois Ruprecht and her brother Donald Behrens.

A graveside memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on July 6, 2018, at Forest Hill Cemetery, Wisconsin Rapids with the Rev. Jonathan D. Petzold officiating. A luncheon will follow at Tom’s on Grand.
