

Fidel is survived by his wife, Cynthia Reyes-Ferral, MD, his children, daughter Maria Ferral; sons Joey Ferral and Matthew Ferral; siblings Maria Nadel and brother-in-law Mark Nadel; sister Martha Ferral; Grandson Alex Skillin, wife Meredith, and great-grandson Cameron; his loving in-laws and many nieces and nephews.
Fidel was born on April 16, 1943 in Brooklyn, NY to Dolores Aznar and Fidel Ferral. He attended primary and secondary schools in Cuba. After graduating high school, he returned to the United States and joined the Air Force in 1960 and acquired technical training that shaped his future endeavors. During his time in the service he was married and had two children Maria and Joey.
Following his service, Fidel pursued higher education at City College of New York majoring in multiple subjects. A visionary in the tech industry, Fidel owned two successful computer businesses in New York City and California. In 1990, he married the love of his life, Cynthia Reyes, MD and they welcomed son Matthew to the family in 1994. Together, they moved and lived in several states, forging lasting friendships and creating cherished memories during their 35 years of marriage.
Fidel was a man of many talents and passions. An accomplished classical guitarist and skilled sailor. He also had a deep appreciation for health and wellness. His love for music, the arts, and the intricate beauty of Bonsai was evident to all who knew him. Fidel’s intelligence, wit, caring nature, and generosity touched the lives of many.
Above all, Fidel treasured moments spent with family and friends, and he found immense joy in traveling with his beloved wife Cynthia. His legacy of love, laughter, and kindness will forever be remembered.
A celebration of life is scheduled for April 27, 2025 at 2:00 pm at Blount & Curry Life Event Center, 605 S MacDill Ave, Tampa, FL, 33609. Following the service, a reception and continued reflections will take place. Pastor Jorge Caballero will officiate the ceremony. All are welcome in colorful attire to celebrate Fidel's life.

A celebration of life for Fidel will be held Sunday, April 27, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Blount & Curry Life Event Center, 605 S MacDill Ave Tampa, FL 33609. Military Honors will start promptly at 2:00 pm. Following the service a reception and continued reflections will take place until 5:00 pm. Please dress in colorful attire to help celebrate such a loving bright life that was well lived.
