Pile, “Glae”, 80, of Tampa, passed away October 6, 2016. Glae moved to the Tampa area in 1977 from Birmingham, AL. She worked as a Library Assistant for Hillsborough Co. before retiring. Glae is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Lt. Col.( Ret.) Roger A Pile; devoted sons, Larry Pile, Doug Pile, Jeff (Julia) Pile, and Rick (Jennifer) Pile; grandchildren, Thomas, Will, Zack, and Nate Pile; cousins, Maryann Nelson and James “Pudge” Murphy; sister-in-law, Janie Worsley. She was preceded in death by her brother, Ed Worsley. Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation, Monday, October 10, 2016 from 7:00 pm – 8:30 pm at the Blount & Curry West Chapel, 6802 Silvermill Dr., Tampa, where a Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 11, 2016 at 2:00 pm. Burial will be 2:30 pm Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell. Memorial donations may be made in Glae’s memory to the Shriners Hospital for Children.
