Gladys M Brakman

Brakman, Gladys M., 77, passed away on October 18, 2015 in Tampa, FL. She was born in Santurce, Puerto Rico on April 24, 1938. Gladys worked as a Bilingual Teacher’s Aide at the Hillsborough County Schools for over 25 years and had a special gift to help children overcome communication challenges while adapting to a new culture. She loved music especially Julio Iglesias and Neil Diamond, was an excellent cook of Latin cuisine and was an avid seamstress. She was the loving wife of Harry Brakman and mother of Bryce Brakman. She was the middle sister of Camily Menoyo, Charo Corujo and Ernesto Amador. She will be remembered by her unconditional love and affinity to her child Bryce and five grandchildren, Beau, Megan, Wesley, Timothy, and Kate. A visitation will take place on Sunday October 25, 2015 from 10 to 12Noon at Gonzalez Funeral Home with funeral services beginning at 12noon. Interment to follow at Sunset Memory Gardens in Thonotosassa, FL. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Alzheimer’s Research.
