

She married Juan del Cueto in 1957. Gloria initially worked for the Shell Oil Company in Havana, Cuba. She and Juan left Cuba in 1960 and settled in Tampa, where her husband's family had ties to the cigar industry. She was a medical assistant at a cardiology practice for many years. Gloria then worked at her husband Juan's accounting business Accountax prior to retiring.
Gloria was preceded in death by her husband Juan del Cueto, her mother and father Alicia and Ignacio Muguerza, her sister Mirta Argiz Martinez and nephew Silvio Argiz, Jr.
She leaves behind her cherished family: son Juan I. del Cueto, wife Maite; grandchildren Amanda Dillinger, husband Derek, and Alex del Cueto, wife Mary; great grandchildren Dominic and Demi Dillinger, and Sebastian and Alexander del Cueto; niece Alicia Argiz Lyons, husband Kelly; great nephew Jordan Argiz, wife Caitlin, and their children Malcom and Estella Argiz; sister-in-law Luisa Cisneros, husband Frank Cisneros Sr.; nephew Frank Cisneros, Jr. and his son, Frankie; niece Anna Baralt, husband Bill, and their children Cai, wife Kelly, and Liliana Baralt; nephew Carlos Cisneros, wife Jennifer, and their children Caal and Carmen Cisneros; and several beloved cousins.
Honorary Pallbearers: The Bingo Divas (Bella Canasi, Zenaida Socias, Ines Maceas, Josefena Riveron, Ana Mayer, Lourdes Piedra and Maria Elena Marcet).
Gloria's courage, grace and strength through her valiant fight against cancer showed her loved ones how to live an abundant life full of faith, joy and enduring love for her family and friends. She was a member of the Cuban Civic Club and Club 15 and enjoyed collecting toys for the children of Shriners Children's and the immigrant children of Wimauma during the holiday season. Gloria also loved playing Bingo every week with her friends, the Bingo Divas. Her family and friends will miss her presence on this Earth but have found comfort knowing she is at peace in her eternal resting place with our Lord and Savior.
A funeral mass will be held on February 2, 2026, 10 a.m. at St. Lawrence Catholic Church (5225 N. Himes Ave., Tampa, FL) with Father Chuck Dornquast officiating. Arrangements have been made at Gonzalez Funeral Home 813-931-1833.
