

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Sis. Gloria Jean Turner, 75, who departed this life on December 3rd, 2025 surrounded by loved ones. A faithful servant, Gloria leaves behind a legacy of love, grace, and unwavering faith. Her memorable spirit will be forever cherished by all.
Gloria was born on March 7, 1950, in Dunnellon, Fl. She attended and graduated from Booker T. Washington High School. She then moved and attended Florida A & M University in Tallahassee, Fl and graduated as a Sociology and Education Major. Gloria moved to Tampa, Fl. Where she married and began her career and retired as a probation officer with the Florida Department of Corrections. Gloria was a beloved member of Mt. Pleasant AME Church and lived a life defined by love, resilience, and devotion to her family.
She leaves to cherish her memories, Son; Franklin Jovan Turner (Jessyca), her Siblings; Bettye King, Barbara David and Albert Curtis Wright (Frenchie), her Grandchildren; Kaneisha Monique Alford, Jovan Antonio Turner and Amaya Nicole Turner, her Nephews; Tony Wright (Siobhan), Ruby Wright, Patrick Davis, and Micheal Davis (Shanika), her nieces; Sandra Mitchell, Debra King and a host of great nieces and nephews, cousins and many close friends. She was preceded in death by her father Albert Wright Sr., her mother Ruby Simpkins, her husband Franklin R. Turner, her brother Albert Wright Jr., her son Rodney Kevin Wallace and her great grandson Rodney Gerard Kevin Maura, whom she now joins in eternal rest.
A celebration of her life will be held on December 12, 2025 at Gonzalez Funeral Home. The family will receive guest from 10am-12pm, followed by the service at 12pm. Burial will take place at Rest Haven Memorial Park, Tampa, Fl.
The family kindly invites those attending to wear purple or her beloved F.A.M.U colors (orange & green).
Her love, strength, and light will continue to guide us always.
