

Aldrich, Harold E. Of Tampa, Florida passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends at St Joseph’s Hospital on Friday, July 31, 2015, at 2:05 PM. Harold died from complications from pneumonia and cancer. He was very thankful for the great care he received at St Joseph’s Hospital and Florida Cancer Specialists where he had been treated for the past two years. Harold was 69 years of age at the time of his death. Harold was born in Providence, Rhode Island and lived most of his life in Florida, other than the four years he attended high school at Georgia Military Academy where he graduated in 1964, and met his first wife Cheryl. Harold and Cheryl had two children together. Angie, his daughter, lives in Florida and his son, Hal, lives in Georgia. Hal has two children, Megan and Brett, who are also grandchildren to Harold. Harold graduated from the University of Florida’s School of Journalism in 1969, with a Bachelor’s degree. He was Editor of the UF Alligator which won National Awards during his tenure. He was also elected to Florida Blue Key, an important recognition at UF. He remained a loyal Gator his entire life! Harold had a great career in Journalism, Political Campaign Management, Consulting, and Life Coaching. He has colleagues from all over the World who are celebrating his vision and commitment to modeling change to improve life for all people. He was a true peacemaker! Harold was married to his second wife, Sandy, for many years and lovingly cared for her as her life became more impacted by ALS, and was present for her as her life ended peacefully being sung into heaven by family, friends and a Hospice Nurse. Sandy and Harold had worked together for many years conducting life coaching seminars and were great companions in life’s journey. Harold’s parents, both deceased, were Eleanor Florence Blume and Harold E. Aldrich. Both his parents had children from second marriages and Harold was blessed with blended families. He is survived by his Brothers, Ron, Keith &Todd, his Sisters Terry Lynn & Lisa and his Sisters – In Law, Mary Lynne & Sue. He is also survived by many special extended family members and friends who truly enriched his life! Rest in Peace Harold!
