Harry Ray Faulk died peacefully in Inverness, Florida on February 17, 2026, at the age of 92. He was born in Paragould, Arkansas on October 29, 1933. Harry enlisted in the Army after high school where he served as a private in Germany. He served during a peaceful time, and would frequently share his fond memories of comradery, doughnut runs, and of course opera. After his time in the Army, he returned to the United States where he graduated from the University of Michigan with a Master of Business Administration. He met his wife, Elizabeth “Betty Jo” during an orientation meeting. Harry was serving in the capacity of Student Body President and was immediately smitten with her. Their love story began, and they married on January 14, 1961. Over their 65 years of marriage, they welcomed two children, Mary and Joesph. Harry and Betty Jo set off on an adventure of a lifetime and moved to Puerto Rico in 1968. Through the 5 years they spent in Puerto Rico they traveled as a family across the Caribbean and created memoires together that lasted a lifetime. In 1972 they returned to the US, and planted roots in Tampa, Florida, a place which he loved. Throughout the years he enjoyed spending time on the water, becoming involved in local nonprofits, and exploring Tampa through trying new Cuban restaurants.
Harry was an accomplished accountant for large global companies and after retirement, an entrepreneur. He was a witty individual who loved making people smile through his well-timed jokes, taking photos of nature, and through singing hymns or showtunes anytime he had a chance. He also had a passion for finances and politics. Harry enjoyed sitting at the kitchen table with a white napkin, blue pen, and fresh cup of coffee while writing out the importance of investing in real estate and the long-term effect of any impending policy decisions. Harry was a proud member of Christ the King Church, Knights of Columbus, and Italian American club. He was an usher for three decades and sang in the Christ the King Choir and other choirs for over 50 years.
Harry is survived by his wife Elizabeth “Betty Jo” Faulk, daughter Mary and her husband, David Maholias, his son Joe and his wife, Kim Faulk, and grandchildren Lauren Johnson her husband Kacy Keeffe, Chris Faulk, Samantha Jacobsen, and great-grandchild Aiden Keeffe.
