CHAVEZ, Hilda A., 91, of Tampa passed away on Friday morning (May 6, 2016) in her sleep with her family by her side. She is now at peace. She was preceded in death by her husband Eduardo in 2007. Survivors include her daughters, Esther Rodriguez of Tampa and Hilda Marquez and husband Juan of Tampa; grandchildren, Jorge Rodriguez of California, Jennifer Rogers and husband Christopher of Delray Beach, Justin Marquez of Tampa, and Hailey Marquez of Tampa; sister, Lydia Morales of Cuba; and many other extended family members and friends. Born and raised in Cuba, Hilda came to the United States in 1970. She moved to the Tampa Bay area from New York in 1986. A loving mother and grandmother, Hilda will be sorely missed. To honor her wishes, the family will be conducting a private ceremony.
