A wonderful lady, and I'm thankful to her for giving us all such a wonderful person in her daughter. I have very fond memories of our times together. 

I first met Hope when she was twelve years old.  I was seventeen and in the eleventh grade; and my friends and I noticed this new girl in school.  She  looked like she should be in high school; and we were surprised to find that she was in the sixth grade, (She was well-developed – in fact, she had better curves than most of us did.)

As the weeks passed, she and I would see each other around school; and it seemed we had an instant rapport – we liked each other!  But we had never formally met, and we only knew each other by our first names. So, when her brother, Walt, took me to his house to meet his folks, and I saw her sitting there, I said, “You’re his sister?”  And she said, “You’re the one he’s seeing?”

She and I remained good friends for the next seventy years; though we didn’t keep in contact with each other often.  When we did see each  other,  it was always as if we had seen each other yesterday and that easy rapport was always there.
	
She was my   sister-in-law, and I loved her.  I was so sorry to find that she was gone; and wish that I had not given up so easily when I called a couple of years ago and there was no answer.

Hope, always Mrs. Williams to me,  was my best friend’s mom. In the 6th grade, we had the prettiest moms, and Hope certainly was a beauty inside and out. I have many memories, but one was during a sleepover, and I asked her, “Do you wanna smell my nightie?” It was from a Downey commercial, and it made her laugh. She had a wonderful laugh. 

I’m so sorry that she is no longer here to smile and laugh. I give my most heartfelt love and condolences to you, my friend, and your family. 

So sorry to hear of the passing of my friend and wonderful
hairdresser for almost 40 years. 
She was such an inspiration , a true Christian,   caring ,  and  always
helpful to everyone.
I've been with  her every month  since I first lived in Tampa, then in  Clearwater Beach,  then to Clearwater and now in Largo .
I will surely miss her.  I know that she is now  another angel in heaven.

Hope was one of the dearest friends one could hope to have.  She was loyal, cheerful and always helpful.  We recently shared a funeral service for another dear friend and I passed on the words for TAPS to her.  I hope they helped with her peaceful death.

I am so sorry I will not be able to attend the visitation for Hope. I was one of her loving customers and cared for her so much. She was a lovely and sweet person and I always looked forward to my appointments with her, just to see her and visit.  I respected her so much. I am sorry to say that although I knew she had been ill, I was totally shocked over her death. I still am devastated by her  passing and I just want each of her family to know I considered her a valued friend.  She was special.

Hope is preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, D.S. Williams.  She is survived by her only daughter; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one brother; and numerous nieces and nephews.
