Iolanda Menna DiPronio, 83 years old, of Tampa, Florida passed away in her home of natural causes on September 6, 2020 in Tampa, Florida.

Iolanda is survived by her 3 daughters: Lucie DiPronio and husband (Francois), Anna DiPronio Mendez and husband (Danny), and Diana DiPronio and husband (Bruce); her brother Agostino Menna and wife (Marion), and sister-in-law Rosalia, her grandchildren (Victoria DiPronio Mendez and Julian DiPronio Forrester), and many wonderful nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her husband Carlo, her brothers Pantaleone and Alberto, her sisters Mariuccia, Maria Donata, Giuseppina and both her parents. She is also sadly predeceased by her grandson Daniel and her nephew Bruno.

Iolanda was born April 24, 1937 in Roccamorice, Pescara (Italy) to Antonio Menna and Anna D’Angelo. It was there that she married Carlino DiPronio and where Lucie and Anna were born. Iolanda and Carlino moved to England in 1961, where a third daughter, Diana was born in 1962 and shortly after the whole family moved to Canada, and a few years later moved to Florida, USA.

Iolanda lived in California for over 20 years with her husband Carlo, her daughter Anna and son-in-law Danny, her grandson Daniel and her granddaughter Victoria. Her dedication to her family was unwavering. She helped raise her two grandchildren from birth and was an integral part of their lives. Very important to her was to have a home cooked meal every night that the family could gather around. She believed food nourished the soul as well as the body and she passed on her love of cooking to her children and grandchildren. She cherished her grandchildren's sporting events, the football games, the basketball games, cooking for all the team members and participating in the many sports trips. Her nurturing nature resulted in the formation of lifelong bonds with people everywhere. She enjoyed family vacations, trips to Cancun, Puerto Vallarta, Cabo San Lucas, Hawaii and Park City. But most significant to her were the trips she took with her grandchildren back to her homeland in Italy, where she relished exposing them to her history and way of life as a young child there. Once her granddaughter Victoria left for college, Iolanda moved back to Florida five years ago to live with her daughters Lucie and Diana, where she enjoyed gardening and wonderful neighbours during the last years of her life.

Funeral services will be held at 10am on Saturday, September 12, 2020 at the Blount and Curry Funeral Home at 6802 Silvermill Drive, Tampa, Florida 33635. Burial will follow at 1pm at the Curlew Hills Memorial Gardens at 1750 Curlew Road, Palm Harbor, Florida 34683.
