Jack was born on December 24, 1934 in Anderson, IN. He was a retired United States Air Force Veteran, past member of American Legion Post 139, and a former member of Elks Lodge #708. In the 80s and 90s Jack was a well-known bar owner in Tampa. He enjoyed crosswords, reading, the casino, shooting pool, and local sports teams. He is remembered most for his dry sense of humor and quick wit.
Jack was preceded in death by his first wife, Ruth, married 38 years, and daughter, Ruth Ann Meldrum. He is survived by his wife, Nancy, married 14 years; his four children, Terry (Sallie), Jackie, Robin (Jeff), and Tony (Debbi); five step-children, Robert, Deborah, Sandra, Donna, and Georganna; twenty grandchildren; and thirteen great-grandchildren.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Saturday September, 19, 2020 at 11am, Blount & Curry Funeral Home, 605 S MacDill Avenue, Tampa, FL, with a memorial service following at 12pm.
