ABBOTT, Jacqueline Mildred, 87, of Tampa passed away on October 17, 2018 peacefully. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard William Abbott and her children, Raymond “Skipper”, Jocelyn and Donny. She is survived by her son, Scott Abbott of Tampa; and grandchildren, Franz of Tampa Bay, Jackie of California, Candice, Alissa, Kristina, Allison and Jaime of Connecticut. She was born on February 1, 1931 in New Haven, Connecticut to William Charles and Irene (Bruce) Hofmeister. She was known to so many as the best server at Jimmy’s and Turks of (West Haven) for almost 50 years. She retired and moved to the Tampa Bay area 22 years ago. She lived an amazing long life, full of history and great stories of Savin Rock and old friends, she enjoyed traveling to Europe, California, Mexico, Portland, Seattle, Puerto Rico. She also loved boating, The Yankees and of course Tampa Bay Lightning games. She will be missed by everyone, Mom was amazing. Services are private.
