BERTAN, Janet Laidlaw, 55, of Tampa passed away on August 21, 2016. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Patricia Laidlaw. Survivors include her loving husband of 26 years, Bruce; children, Andrew, Max and Wyette; siblings, Patti Laidlaw, Tom Laidlaw (Cindy) and Margaret Kelso; aunt, Martha Robertson; and her dog, Mia. Born and raised in New Jersey, she earned her undergraduate degree from John Carroll University, and her Master’s Degree from George Washington University. In 1992 Janet moved to the Tampa Bay area with her husband where she enjoyed a successful career at Blue Cross/Blue Shield. Janet and her husband raised their family in the Tampa Bay area where she was active with her children’s schooling, sports, and most notably the Alonso High School Sports Booster Club. Janet will be remembered for her love of family time at the beach and afternoon bike rides on the trail. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
