Jean-Paul Cesar Daou, 40, of Wesley Chapel, Florida, formerly of North Andover, Massachusetts passed away unexpectedly on October 30, 2025. Born in Lowell on April 18, 1985, he was the beloved son of Breda and Cesar Daou, and devoted brother of Pierre Daou. He was, known affectionately to family and friends as “JP”.
Raised in Massachusetts, JP spent much of his life in North Andover and on the ski slopes of Waterville Valley. He recently made his home in Wesley Chapel, Florida after his FSU graduation. JP will forever be remembered for his warmth, generosity, and genuine spirit. He had an uncommon gift for listening, comforting, and uplifting all who crossed his path. JP gave freely of his time, his heart, and his kindness, offering friendship that was constant and sincere.
JP was larger than life. From the moment he walked into a room, he became its energy. People naturally gravitated to him-and for good reason. With his broad shoulders and sturdy physique, he certainly stood out, but it was his welcoming smile that made him one of the most approachable people you could ever meet. That smile came with an easy confidence and unmatched charisma. His booming voice, huge grin, and infectious attitude were simply unforgettable.
A gifted athlete and outdoorsman, JP began skiing at age five and never stopped. He raced collegiately and in NASTAR competitions. and shared his love of the sport as a ski instructor, inspiring others on the slopes. In the Masters he truly cherished the camaraderie and friendship he developed with the NEMS Racing community. His après ski was also quite legendary.
When the snow melted, he exchanged his skis for fins and a scuba tank diving at sites around the world from Belize to Lebanon. JP was a martial arts practitioner starting at an early age, earning a black belt in Taekwondo and competing at state and national levels. He later studied other forms of martial arts such as judo & karate. He found meaning in the discipline’s philosophy as much as in its practice. He was also an avid hiker, camper, archer, and marksman.
Deeply proud of his Irish and Lebanese heritage, JP celebrated both sides of his family with enthusiasm. He frequently traveled to Ireland and Lebanon, cherished the music and traditions of each, and meticulously traced his family’s genealogy on both sides.
JP graduated from St. John’s Prep in Danvers, Bentley University, and Florida State University College of Law, proudly calling himself a “Double-Eagle-Nole.” At St. John’s, he ran track before turning his energy toward painting and the Drama Guild, performing Beowulf at Boston’s John Hancock Hall. He earned his degree in Finance Management from Bentley University and later fulfilled his dream of studying law, receiving his Juris Doctor from FSU in 2021.
A man of wide interests and boundless curiosity, JP was both intellectual and artistic. He enjoyed literature, history, film, philosophy, and technology. He wrote poetry, built a custom water-cooled computer adorned with FSU’s Osceola logo, and loved good conversation, wine, cigars, cars, and boating. He approached life as a true cosmopolitan and bon vivant.
JP is also survived by his loving uncles, Deacon Nadim Daou and his wife Marie-Christine, and Samir (Sam) Daou and his wife Leila; his aunts, Sheila Seed and her husband Paul, and Margaret Cossairt and her husband David; and his cousins Nadine Daou Sfeir and her husband Rock, Elie Daou, Timothy Seed, Patrick Seed, and Caitlin Seed.
