Jerry Leman Warren

Jerry was born on May 14, 1953, in Alexandria, Virginia, to Mary and Leon Warren. He was one of seven children and grew up alongside his siblings Joan, Bobby, Dave, Jimmy, Mickey, and Kathleen. A 1971 graduate of Charlotte High School, Jerry later attended Santa Fe Community College.

Jerry proudly served his country in the United States Air Force, attaining the rank of Sergeant and being stationed at MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa. Following his military service, he became a small business owner, operating a medical courier service.

While at Charlotte High School, Jerry met Susan Brandon, the love of his life. The two went on to marry in 1980 and shared 46 years of marriage together. They built a life centered around family, love, and countless memories. Together, they had three children: Ashley, Whitney, and Brandon. Although their daughter Ashley passed away in 1984, she remained forever a cherished part of their family. Jerry was also a proud grandfather to his beloved granddaughter, Valerie.

To know Jerry was to know his larger-than-life personality. He was the life of the party, a natural jokester, and was notorious for making people laugh. He was always ready for a good time and had a way of making those around him feel comfortable and welcome. Friends, family, and anyone who had the pleasure of meeting him often remarked on how personable and charismatic he was. Jerry never needed much of an excuse to have fun, share a laugh, or turn an ordinary moment into a memorable one. His humor, warmth, and ability to connect with people were some of the qualities that made him so unforgettable.

Jerry had a deep love for animals and music and was a longtime member of the Future Farmers of America. He especially loved vacationing in Englewood Beach, where he enjoyed making memories with the people he loved. Above all, Jerry cherished his family and the time he spent surrounded by the people and things that brought him joy.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Mary and Leon Warren; his daughter, Ashley Warren; his sister, Joan Warren; and his brother, Jimmy Warren.

He leaves behind his beloved wife, Susan Warren; his daughter, Whitney Warren; his son, Brandon Warren; his granddaughter, Valerie Warren; and his siblings, Bobby, Dave, Mickey, and Kathleen, along with extended family and friends who will miss his laughter, his humor, and his unmistakable presence.

Jerry's family takes comfort in knowing that he is reunited with Ashley and that his memory will live on through the family he loved so deeply and the countless people whose lives he touched.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at Blount & Curry Life Event Center, 605 S. MacDill Ave, beginning with a visitation from 1:00pm - 2:00pm. The funeral service is at 2:00pm with a reception to follow until 3:00pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family encourages those wishing to honor Jerry's memory to make a donation to their local Humane Society.
