James Vincent Cote “Jim” or “JC”, 53, of Tampa, passed away on October 19, 2021. He was born in Suffern, New York on May 9, 1968. He was raised briefly in New York and moved to S Tampa at a young age. He was a loving husband, father and friend to many. He played his youth soccer in Tampa at several clubs in the area. Jim went on to play soccer in college at the University of North Carolina Greensboro. He continued his passion after college as a soccer coach at Blackwatch, RSL Florida and Tampa Bay United. He went on to impact not only the soccer careers, but the lives of many young soccer players, through his very successful coaching commitment. He won numerous state, regional, and national championships through his 30 year coaching career.
Jim was just as successful on the field as he was off the field. He was a seasoned leader in the PEO world with over 25 years of experience. He earned many President’s Club awards and was ranked in the top 30 Account Executives in the country. He was an expert in forming and maintaining relationships to ensure all parties involved received top notch service in the industry.
Jim is survived by his wife, Robin; daughter Leah Cote; sister Dawn Harrison; uncle Todd (Donna) Madry; aunt Carolyn Madry; and cousins Lance Madry, Michael Madry, Matthew Madry, Luke Madry, and Brooke Madry.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Judith Cote and Ronald Cote; his uncle Dan Madry; his cousin Brian Madry; his aunt Gayle (Madry) Drumm; his aunt Donna (Madry) Lafazia.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation, or bcrf.org.
