John was born in Tampa on September 24, 1968. He was the youngest son of Dick and Pat Aaron. John was named after his grandfathers.
At the age of 2, John lost his father. From that point he was raised by his mother and his 4 older siblings - especially his sister, Lisa. Despite being born without a right hand, John was an unstoppable force who firmly rejected his first (and last) prosthetic hand. As a boy he played baseball, football, bowled and was a diver on the Plant High School swim team.
Upon graduation from Plant in 1986, John headed to Florida State University where he studied Economics, founded Perky Turf Lawncare, sang in a band and majored in wooing the "love of his life" Angel Bogart.
John and Angel were married on October 28, 1995. Together they created a life filled with the love of family, friends, hard work, community service and south Tampa shenanigans.
John was the owner of Aaron Landscape and Lawn. He was a past president of Roosevelt Elementary Dad's Club, a Merrymaker, a Rough Rider and an active member of the Plant Class of 86 Planning Committee.
As a member of various area bands, John "singlehandedly" played the keyboard and guitar.
By far, John's MOST IMPORTANT role was as fulltime caregiver to he and Angel's greatest gifts to this world -their three daughters:
Allison Joyce, an artist and writer extraordinaire, who shares her Daddo's wry sense of humor.
Alaina Julianne, a singer and actress who inherits her Dad's musical chops.
Ashlyn Johnna, a real-life Disney princess who brought immeasurable joy to John for the past three years.
We know that these precious girls will sustain Angel as she faces life without her best friend and soulmate.
John is also survived by Angel's parents, Sharon and Red Bogart, the Aaron Family Matriarch, Julianne Aaron and his brothers and sisters: Joyce and Dan Kogut, Jo Ann Aaron, Pat and Lynn Aaron and
Lisa and Duke Swann.
John was an uncle/brother to Katie, Sophia, Rich, Mary and Laura Kogut, Matthew, Kay and Kevin Davis, Steve, Cristie and Brian Aaron.
He was a "great uncle" to Daniel and Victor Kogut, Kaylee and Kendall Davis, and Tayler, Kinley, Maxe and Rhys Aaron.
John is survived by a host of faithful friends who have provided unconditional support throughout John's final illness.
John's family will receive friends from 6-8 pm on Tuesday, April 24 at Blount & Curry Funeral Home, 605 S. MacDill Avenue.
John's funeral Mass will be celebrated at Christ the King Chapel, 821 S. Dale Mabry Hwy. on Wednesday, April 25 at 2 pm.
