John Francis Kalt

John Francis Kalt died peacefully in his home February 10, 2018. John was born in Long Beach NY May 23, 1965 and moved with his family to Florida in 1967. Predeceased in death by his loving sister Laura J. Kalt, he is survived by his mother Mary Anne Upham and Stepfather Stowell (Skip) Upham, brother Fred J Kalt and his wife Barbara, Uncle James Callahan and Aunt Peggy Callahan, and nieces Jessica and Kelly Kalt as well as many other nieces, nephews and cousins.

John graduated from Leto HS in June 1983 and completed a program in Commercial Art from Tampa Bay Vocational School. He found his niche in construction working with Pulte Homes, then Paul J Sierra Construction and finally successfully owning and operating John Kalt Home Improvements Inc. John's love of art was evident not only in his artwork, but also in his ability to design projects in his construction career. John seldom bought a card for an occasion but thoughtfully made cards and used the trademark "Feelings" on them.

John was loving, kind, sensitive, fun to be with and generous to his friends and family, and his love of the Lord was evident in his work ethics and life. When you made a friend of John it was for a lifetime. He has lived in Seminole Heights for over 20 years and will be missed by all his neighbors. He was always ready to lend a hand when someone needed one.

A Celebration of his Life will be held at Unity North Tampa, 13540 N Florida Ave, Tampa, 33613 on Saturday, March 3, 2018 at 1:00pm with a gathering of friends following the service in the fellowship hall.
