Jose was born to parents Antonio and Carmen Lozada on February 13th, 1947, in Vega Baja, Puerto Rico. At 13, he was fascinated with cars and grew a passion for learning how to fix what was broken as an Auto Bodyman Collision Technician. On February 15th, 1975, he married the love of his life, Maria Lozada, and raised a beautiful family of whom he was very proud. He became a successful automotive entrepreneur for 50 years, and he dedicated his life to working hard in caring for his family. Jose was known as "El Maestro" by his beloved friends since he loved to teach others how to repair vehicles. His passion led him to win 1st place at the Bug Jam Car Show on November 9th, 2014, in Dade City, FL, for restoring a 1966 Volkswagon beetle.
He loved God with all of his heart and enjoyed serving as an usher in any capacity needed at church. He was a generous giver of his time and talent when others were in need. He never hesitated to share his story of how the Lord saved him.
His hobbies included playing dominoes, watching boxing, and he was a hardcore Tampa Bay Rays fan. He also enjoyed being a handyman, and he was able to create and build many things for the house. Most of all, he enjoyed spending quality time with his family.
Mr. Lozada is survived by his wife Maria Lozada, his daughter Sandra Ivette Miranda, daughter Mari Vega, son Javier Antonio Lozada with wife Ursula Leal, daughter Denise Lozada, daughter Abigail Lozada, and son Josean Lozada; 9 Grandchildren and 5 Great Grandchildren; 7 Siblings.
