
GILLEN, Joseph Guy, 89, a long time resident of Tampa, passed away Friday, Jan. 1, 2016 of natural causes. Guy was born in Lake City, on Dec. 23, 1926. Guy was a Sergeant in the Army. He was very proud of his service. In 1955, he married June Crumbley and had two daughters. He was married for 35 years. Guy worked as the Clerk of the Circuit Court for about 24 years. When he retired, he thoroughly enjoyed life by traveling, volunteering and getting together with friends. He was predeceased by his wife, June; and his stepbrother, Elliott. Guy is survived by his loving daughter, Ann Orand (Bruce); her children, Adam and June; his daughter, Pamela Elkington; her children, Steven, Christopher and Joseph; and many wonderful nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Friday, Jan. 8, from 6-8 pm, at the Blount & Curry Funeral Home, 605 S. MacDill Ave., Tampa, FL 33609. The burial service will be at the Garden of Memories Cemetery at 10 am, Saturday Jan. 9, followed by the memorial service held at the funeral home at 11 am.
