Joseph Evans Newton, born April 4th 1955 to Dottie Jean Evans and Burnice Gunnel Newton in the little town of Paduka, Kentucky. Joseph lived a young life only most would dream of, from working as a medic on MacDill Air Force base during the Vietnam War to working as an engineer for the Kennedy Space Center with his father, there wasn’t much he couldn’t do. His later years would be spent working for an environmental company by the name of Handex as a construction superintendent; he developed such a respect for the company and the environment along the way that he always made sure to instill good environmental behaviors in all those around him because of such. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing, taking pictures, listening to classic hits, spending time with family and enjoying the simpler things. Joe was a hardworking son, father, husband and friend; he was well respected and will be missed by so many. He leaves behind his mother, Dottie Whitehead; siblings, Mary Pearlstein & Mathew Newton; children, David Newton, Dan Newton, Sarah Newton, Philip Stutz; and his wife, Cheryl Newton, along with so many friends and kids he looked at as children as well. His Celebration of Life service will be an informal service held on January 12th from 2pm-4pm at Picnic Island Park, Shelter 609, 7404 Picnic Island Blvd Tampa, FL, 33616.
