

Joseph Pallisco, 100, was born to Michael and Blandina Pallisco on October 5, 1925 in Fondi, Italy and died on January 10, 2026 in Tampa, Florida. His father came to America alone to start a new life for his family. In November, 1929, his mother Blandina, sister Lelia and Joseph left Italy on a ship bound for New York. He also had a young brother, Oswald, born in America, who died at a young age from a car accident. They grew up in the Bronx. He was in the Navy in WWII and will be buried in Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL.
In 1963, he bought a house in West Babylon, NY, where he and his parents, sister and her children lived. His hobbies were golfing and fishing. He also enjoyed ballroom dancing. He taught me (Ann) some dance steps as a younger child. He worked for Doubleday Book Co. and brought home books for the family to enjoy. In 1984, he retired to Florida.
He is survived by his niece Ann Ledwith and her children Daniel Ledwith, Jennifer Donaldson (Craig), Eric Ledwith (Rachelle), Michael Ledwith (Nadia), his niece Antonia Westfall (Bob) and her children Chris Westfall (Angie), LeeAnn Fuqua (Mark), his nephew Michael’s(deceased) children, Denise Maggiacomo, Michele Oswald, Gina Maggiacomo, and Walter Maggiacomo along with many other great nieces and nephews. He never wanted to marry and have children, but in his older years, he was very fond of all the young children born to the family.
