Savarese, Joseph Anthony III ( Jody) age 66, died from a heart attack November 4, 2015. Jody was born in Tampa, FL and was a lifelong resident. He was predeceased by his parents Suzanne Harris Savarese and Joseph Anthony Savarese, Jr. He is survived by his sister Cynthia S. Rosier and brother-in-law, T. Michael Rosier. Niece Mica Suzanne Rosier. Nephew Joseph Patrick Rosier and his wife Jennifer Clark Rosier and his great-nephew born the day before his death, Clark Anthony Rosier. Jody graduated from Plant High School and the University of Tampa. He was a member of Ye Mystic Krewe of Gasparilla and a past member of Merrymakers Club of Tampa. He has been retired for many years. He was a Florida Gator fan, Bucs fan, NASCAR fan (Dale, Jr. 88) and generally a fan of most sports. He loved hunting when he was younger, and loved fishing his entire life… especially in Boca Grande. His very close friends, Capt. Bill Miller and Capt. Billy Miller would take him fishing often, even in recent years as his health was declining. Jody was a trivia buff with two of his favorite subjects being professional wrestling and “The Andy Griffith Show.” He actually knew just about everything on just about anything. He was always “correct.” A really fun guy to talk with. He was loved by his family, his many life-long friends and his Pete’s Place friends. He will be sorely missed by all that knew him. Services will be held at the Blount & Curry Funeral Home, 605 S. MacDill Ave., on Monday, November 9th, 2015 at 5:30pm. Visit www.blountcurrymacdill for additional information.
