There are some people whose love shapes your heart forever. My grandmother, Joyce Vazquez Cutro, is one of those rare souls.
She was the heart of our family—a woman of quiet strength, unwavering grace, and endless love. She had a way of making everyone feel safe, welcomed, and important. Whether through her warm hugs, gentle wisdom, or the simple comfort of being in her presence, she taught us what unconditional love truly looked like.
As her granddaughter, I was blessed to know not only her kindness but also her resilience. She faced life’s joys and hardships with dignity, faith, and compassion. She celebrated our successes, carried us through our struggles, and reminded us that family was life’s greatest gift.
Although our hearts ache in her absence, we find comfort in knowing that love like hers never truly leaves us. It lives on in the values she instilled, the traditions she created, the family she cherished, and the countless lives she touched.
Grammy, thank you for every lesson, every prayer, every sacrifice, and every act of love. Thank you for showing us how to live with kindness and how to love without limits.
We will miss you more than words can express, but we will carry your spirit with us always. Your love will forever be our guiding light.
Until we meet again, may you rest peacefully, surrounded by the everlasting love of our Heavenly Father.
Forever loved. Forever remembered. Forever my Grammy.
