KIRK, Kathleen, 100, of Tampa passed away June 4, 2018. She was born on June 16, 1917 to William and Isabella Leary in Soldiers Grove, Wisconsin. A member of Incarnation Catholic Church, Kathleen has been a Tampa Bay resident for the past 25 years. She was preceded in death by her husband Dwayne and 4 siblings. Survivors include her son, Jay W. Kirk and wife Sandy of Tampa; grandchildren, Stacy (Glenn) Franson, Shannan (Stephen) Kinsley, and Jeffrey (Colby) Kirk; great grandchildren, Zachary, Taylor, Brooke, and Cooper; and one great great grandchild, Kirk. Family will receive friends from 6-8pm on Friday, June 8 at the Blount & Curry, Oldsmar/West Hillsborough Chapel, 6802 Silvermill Dr., Tampa. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11am on Saturday, June 9 at Incarnation Catholic Church, 8802 W Hillsborough Ave, Tampa. Burial will take place at Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery in Hillside, IL.

I remember whenever I would visit her she would make us Manhattans. Kate would makes hers with scotch and sweet vermouth. I would have mine with bourbon. She knew how to make it just right. She told me she would have one everyday. I believe that's what kept her going to almost 101.
I will miss this wonderful loving lady especially at Church on Saturday afternoons. Love you Kate ❤️
