
Kaye Hoyle Rankin, 80, of Tampa, born on September 28, 1943 in Henderson, N.C. passed on Wednesday, November 1. She is survived by her husband, Thompson Lykes Rankin, daughter, Catherine Rankin Robinson and husband James M. Robinson, son, Thompson Lykes Rankin, Jr. and wife Courtney R. Rankin; grandchildren, Elizabeth (Lily) Robinson, William (Willow) Robinson, Marguerite (Margot) Robinson, Clara (Stella) Robinson, Patrick Rankin, Harris Rankin and Brooks Rankin; siblings, Bonnie H. Rumsey, A. Clark Hoyle, and Diane H. Hogshire. She is preceded by her father & mother, Arch C. & Jennie S. Hoyle. After high school Kay attended University of North Carolina Chapel Hill, NC and was a member of Alpha Delta Pi graduating in 1965. She married Tom in January, 1970. Over the years Kay was involved in many volunteer activities including Tampa Performing Art Center-Trustee, St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church – Vestry, St. Mary’s Episcopal School, Tampa Museum of Art, Berkeley Preparatory School, Founders’ Garden Club, Tampa Federation of Garden Clubs, USF Foundation Town & Gown, Thomasville Antique Show, and the Blowing Rock Art & History Museum. Services for Kay will be held at St. Andrews Episcopal Church, 509 E. Twiggs St., Tampa, FL 33602 on Monday, November 6 at 10:00 a.m.
