Larry Junior Wooten, age 79, passed away Friday September 15, 2023. He is survived by family and friends. A Tampa native, Larry attended Franklin Middle School and graduated from King High School. Larry worked in the shipyards, was a Project Superintendent for Tappouni Mechanical, and a Pasco County Sheriff's Department Crossing Guard. He enjoyed scuba diving, spearfishing, and sky diving. A life-long motorcycle rider, he traveled the country on his Harley including Sturgis, Blue Ridge Mountains, Pensacola, Washington DC, San Francisco, and the backroads of Florida with the Old Town Chapter Harley Davidson club. Larry was an active member in the Masons, Scottish Rite, and the Egypt Temple Shrine. A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, September 22, 2023 at Blount & Curry Funeral Home, 605 South MacDill Avenue from 4:00PM to 7:00 pm.
