Born on April 30, 1937 in Paoli, Indiana, Lawrence lived a life filled with family, friendship, and his longtime passion for horse racing. He especially enjoyed spending time at the horse track and following the races he loved.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Glenn and Mary Hamilton; brothers, Forrest Hamilton and Joseph Maul; sister, Marilyn Enyart; and great-grandsons, Jayden Adkins and Brandon Hamilton.
Lawrence is survived by his five children, Beth Starker, Robert Hamilton (Donna), Scott Hamilton, Katie Hamilton, and Cindy Ford; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and siblings, Jan Crowder, Richard Hamilton, and Barry Maul.
Rex will be lovingly remembered by all who knew him and by the many memories shared with family and friends throughout his life.
Private family services will be held.
