Lillian Louise Leiman was born on July 16, 1934 in Barnesville, GA. She passed away August 17, 2018 in Tampa, FL at the age of 84. It is with tremendous grief that the announcement be made that Lillian, a loving mother, dedicated daughter, loyal sister, supportive grandmother, and quality friend made her peace with the world, relinquished her fears, and released her worries to join those who departed before her.
After a year of astounding courage and exceptional strength Lillian, “My Nana,” forfeited her year long battle with cancer. To carry on her legacy is her son Michael Allen Kyle; grandchildren, Michelle Sardinas and Jason Kyle; great grandchildren, Jason Kyle Jr, Allen Kyle, Grace Sardinas, and Francisco Sardinas IV; brother, David Lasseter; sister, Frances Lewis; niece, Susanne Wills; great niece, Jessica Sanders and her daughter Paige Sanders; nephew, Greg Lewis; great nephew, Evan Lewis and his sons Seth and Cole Lewis, and cousin Bob Lasseter.
Throughout Lillian’s life she was known by many names; Lil, Lilly, Mom, and Nana. She also took on many roles and responsibilities that impacted those closest to her.
Lillian will always be remembered as strong, intelligent, caring, and fashionable. Lil was a person who carried herself with flawless dignity and respect. She showed great determination in the midst of defeat no matter how impenetrable the task. “My Nana” revealed her acts of selflessness through her relationship with her family. She made it a priority to be present for many important events no matter the distance. Lil remembered every birthday, anniversary, graduation, etc. with a card by mail and a phone call in the morning. “My Nana” was always there to lend a helping hand regardless of prior commitments or obstacles that might have stood in her way. If you needed her there was nothing that would keep “My Nana” from getting there.
Lillian, “My Nana,” was a one of a kind and her presence on this Earth will be missed but will never be forgotten.
“I love you Nana, from the moon to the dirt!”
