Lorene Pearl Scott, 69, of Tampa passed away on January 27, 2020. She was born on July 5,1950 Cayman Brac, Cayman Islands. She was a kind and gentle woman. A loving mother and wife. She served God as a devoted long time member of Westgate Baptist Church. She was an avid reader and puzzle solver. Her love of crochet created many baby gifts as well as treasured family gifts. Gardening was a passion that always gave visitors and passersby something beautiful to see. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to The Friends of the Library P. O. Box 172608 Tampa, FL 33672 or online at foltampa.org so that her love of reading and encouragement of reading that she passed on to her children and grandchildren may be passed on to others.

A funeral service will take place at 12:00pm on Saturday, Feb. 8th at West Gate Baptist Church. The family will receive friends one hour prior. Graveside service to follow at Sunset Memory Gardens.

She was preceded in death by her husband William Scott and father Astley Kendal Ryan. Survivors include children Katina Scott and fiancé Ross Lageose, Bronson Scott and wife Jessica; grandchildren Daniel and Emilio Ruiz, and Cole and Porter Scott; mother Louise Priscilla Ryan; siblings Leonard Kendal Ryan, Linda Allmand, Frances Collins, and Dona Hall.
